Introduction

The UAE Federation Library was founded alongside the ECSSR on March 14, 1994, and named after the Federation of the United Arab Emirates. The UAE Federation Library specializes in materials related to politics, military, social and economic affairs of relevance to the UAE in particular, and the Gulf region and the world in general. The Library holds a large number of international reference works, general and specialized encyclopedias, periodicals, rare documents, official reports, maps and electronic databases, totaling one million titles and references in various disciplines, both in English and Arabic.

In line with its policy of serving the research and academic community in the UAE and Internationally, the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) announces that membership to the UAE Federation Library, the largest specialized library in the UAE, is now open to the public. Library members can borrow a number of books for a certain period of time, as per the relevant rules, and have access to other references.
